Bonds at Work
The primary funding component of road, drainage, and safety improvements is the road bond proposition that is presented to voters in the municipal election each April. Road bonds can only be used for development of capital improvements within the service area boundaries. The bond service area within Anchorage is called the Anchorage Road and Drainage Service Area (ARDSA). Strong community support for these bonds has allowed development on an ongoing capital program that addresses road, drainage, and safety needs of our growing community. An example of some of the recent projects completed by the passing of previous ARDSA bonds include the following:

- 16th Avenue/Terrace Area Circulation Improvements - Medfra Street to Orca Street
- 48th Avenue/Boniface Parkway Extension (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) - Tudor Road to Elmor
- 58th Avenue Reconstruction RID - Arctic Boulevard to Silverado Way
- 6th Avenue Reconstruction - Patterson Street to Muldoon Road
- 72nd Avenue/Spruce Street/Lore Road Upgrade (RTP) - Lake Otis Parkway to Elmore Road
- 76th Avenue Reconstruction - Chad Street to C Street
