Bond Funds at Work

 

    Fireweed Lane/Latouche Street Upgrade - Seward Highway to Northern Lights Boulevard

    This project upgraded these streets to urban collector standards. This project ranked high primarily because it is a collector street through the middle of a residential area with almost 3,000 ADT with inadequate lighting, pedestrian, and drainage facilities. Improvements included paving, curbs, street lighting, pedestrian facilities and landscaping. The project also included a storm drain from the north end of Juneau Street north, across the park, to Chester Creek. ARDSA bond funds included approximately $3.8 million for construction funding.
