Bond Funds at Work

100th Ave Reconstruction (RTP) - Pointe Resolution Dr to Victor Rd

This project reconstructed 100th Avenue between Victor Road and Bayshore Drive and upgraded 100th Avenue between Bayshore Drive and Pointe Resolution Drive. Pedestrian facilities and street lighting were also upgraded. This project was needed because the surfaces of the road and the trail had deteriorated to the point that maintenance is no longer cost-effective and safety was impacted. This road serves Mears Middle School. ARDSA bond funds included approximately $200,000 as a local bond match. Total project cost was estimated at $9.2 million with the majority of the funding coming from a State Grant. This project was a Road Transfer Project (RTP). The segment between Victor Road and Bayshore Drive is state-owned and transfer of ownership and maintenance responsibility to the Municipality occurred at construction start-up. Construction was started in 2008 and completed in 2009. (Community Council: Bayshore/Klatt, Assembly District 6)
