Bond Funds at Work

 

    48th Avenue/Boniface Parkway Extension (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) - Tudor Road to Elmor

    This project constructed a new 4-lane-divided arterial street connecting Tudor Road at Boniface Parkway to Elmore Road at 48th Avenue. The project also extended Tudor Centre Drive south from Tudor Road to the new 48th Avenue. Improvements included pavement, curbs, pedestrian facilities on both sides, a trail underpass, street lighting, storm drains, and landscaping. The project reduces congestion by improving access and circulation and serves development of institutional lands north of 48th Avenue. ARDSA bond funds included approximately $200,000 as a local match to significant State Grants. Total project cost is estimated at $30 million. Construction started in 2009 and will be completed in 2010. (Community Council: Campbell Park, Assembly District 4)
