Bond Funds at Work

76th Avenue Reconstruction - Chad Street to C Street

This project reconstructed and upgraded 76th Avenue to current design standards for a neighborhood collector. Improvements included a new subdrain system, pedestrian facilities on each side, new curb ramps that meet ADA standards, upgraded street lighting and landscaping. Pavement and curbs were cracked and heaved and the collector street had deteriorated beyond the point that maintenance was cost-effective. The project was a priority for the Taku/Campbell Community Council. ARDSA bond funds included $6.7 million for construction. Total project cost was estimated at $8.1 million. Construction was started in 2009 and will be completed in 2010. (Community Council: Taku/Campbell, Assembly Districts 3 and 4)
