Bond Funds at Work

E Street Corridor/Downtown Improvement Upgrades - Ship Creek to Delaney Park Strip

This project developed transportation and pedestrian enhancements in the downtown area, with a focus on E Street between 4th Avenue and 7th Avenue. This project ranked high primarily because it's a collector with almost 4,000 ADT that is located in a high tourism-use area that serves as a primary pedestrian corridor for the downtown area. Improvements included widened and heated sidewalks, a narrower roadway, landscaping, raised crosswalks at intersections and pedestrian scale lighting. ARDSA bond funds included approximately $4.5 million for construction. Construction was started in 2008 and completed in 2009 (Community Council: Downtown, Assembly District 1)
